What Makes the Hot New 2025 BMW X3 xDrive Worth Waiting For

The 2025 BMW X3 is building on its lead in the luxury SUV field – or, as BMW prefers to call it, SAV, for Sport Activity Vehicle. We’ll be seeing what AutoBlog calls “a head turner” in our showroom later this year.

The redesigned 2025 X3 is now a little lower, longer, and wider than its predecessor. Both trims come standard with All-Wheel Drive, a mild hybrid system, and distinctive versions of the iconic kidney grille, which on the 2025 X3 M50 is surrounded by LED lights.

The 2025 X3 M50 xDrive’s inline six-cylinder engine offers 393 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque that zooms from zero-60 mph in 4 seconds. Of course, with power like that, it also needs – and gets –  standard adaptive M Sport Suspension, M Sport brakes 20-inch alloy wheels.

For less speed-oriented drivers, the X3 30 xDrive offers 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, which will easily do zero-60 mph in 6 seconds. The engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo with 48-volt mild hybrid technology and comes standard with 19-inch alloy wheels (20- and 21-inch wheels are available as options).

BMW’s legendary ride is even better in the new X3 owing to advancements in agility and cornering stability. The 2025 BMW X3 30 xDrive can be equipped with the optional M Sport suspension, which also includes sport steering and M Sport brakes. M Adaptive suspension is also an option.

Safety and driver assistance features abound. The optional Driving Assistant Professional Package includes the Lane Keeping Assistant with Side Collision Protection and Distance Control for highway driving. At less than 40 mph, the Traffic Jam Assistant provides hands-free driving. BMW Maps is standard and includes fast route calculation based on real-time traffic data.

Parking is no problem with the standard Parking Assistant. An optional Parking Assistant Professional factors in road markings and the curb, as well as other vehicles. The Maneuver Assistant stores and allows the storage of up to 10 parking and general maneuvers for automatic reuse.

Inside, the X3 is minimalist. Ambient lighting sets the atmosphere with a choice of 15 colors and dynamic effects. The 14.9-inch Curved Display with a central touchscreen and a digital driver’s display runs through BMW’s new Operating System 9. BMW’s voice-activated Intelligent Personal Assistant adds interactive graphics. There are also multifunction buttons on the steering wheel and the familiar iDrive Controller on the center console. An array of information and entertainment is accessible, including through the BMW Digital Premium enabling video streaming on display when the car is stationary, as well as in-car gaming.

The future is here today with the 2025 BMW X3 30 xDrive and the X3 M50 xDrive, which offer an unsurpassed combination of driving fun and technological wizardry. Make an appointment with one of our client advisors to see if it might be your Ultimate Driving Machine.
