BMW Sprints Toward Spring with an All-New 2024 BMW X2 | Schomp BMW

Published on Oct 31, 2023 by Schomp BMW

Heading into the shorter, darker days of winter, we’re already beginning to look forward to spring. Sure, there will be green grass, flowers, and milder temperatures, but auto enthusiasts are excitedly anticipating the launch of BMW’s brand-spanking-new 2024 BMW X2. It’s a fabulous, redesigned Sports Activity Coupe (SAC), scheduled for early March.

BMW just made the announcement, with BMW Product Manager for BMW North America, Nick Gerstner pointing to how the 2024 X2 continues the strong BMW heritage and enthusing that “Customers … will appreciate the advanced technology, the enhanced driving experience, versatility, refinement, and roominess of the next X2.”

As the Gerstner said, there’s a lot to appreciate about the 2024 BMW X2 SAC:

Powerful – two trims: the xDrive 28i with 241 hp/295 lb-ft of torque taking it from zero-60 mph in +/- 6.2 seconds; the xDrive M35i with 321-hp/295 lb-ft of torque running from zero-60 mph in 5.2 seconds. Both are based on a 2.0-liter powertrain. Optional M Sport package for the 28i adds to the driving experience. Steering wheel paddles are standard on the M35i and optional on the 28i.  Safe – standard safety equipment includes Active Blind Spot Detection, Front Collision Warning with pedestrian/cyclist detection, Lane Departure Warning and intervention, auto emergency braking, and Rear Cross-Traffic Warning. Optional Driving Assistance Professional Package adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, lane-keeping assistance, traffic jam assistance, evasion aid, and front cross-traffic alerts.  Packed with tech – BMW’s new iDrive 9 with QuickSelect, enhanced voice and touch control that can be updated over-the-air, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, access to third-party app stores, in-car gaming and streaming with BMW Digital Premium via 5G, My Modes to create a preferred atmosphere and in-cabin camera. The heads-up display is optional. BMW’s curved display holds a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a 10.7-inch Central Information Display that puts infotainment easily within reach.  Bigger inside and out – Redesigned with a vertical front end, signature twin-kidney grille (available illuminated), and a longer, tapered roofline, distinctive headlights, and rear lights.7.6 inches longer/0.8 inches wider/2.5 inches higher. Seating for five with more second-row knee room. Cargo space is 25.3 cf or 51.7 cf with the rear seats folded.  Lovelier and more comfortable – Newly designed seats with great lateral support (sport seats are optional), Veganza seating in multiple color choices is standard. The panorama skyroof is optional. The 2024 BMW X2 is colorful with a wide spectrum of hues, including “frozen” colors and BMW’s new Vegas Red Metallic.

Of course, there’s much, much more, but you have until March to explore and decide if either the 2024 BMW X2 28i or X2 M35i is the choice for you. Our Schomp BMW Client Advisors and BMW Geniuses can help inform your choice.
